Founded in 2014, Hawi Foundation is registered in United Sates of America and Kenya as not for profit organization. Through our income from Medical electives and generous support from individuals, businesses and foundations, Hawi Foundation has reached out to those in need in Kenya and beyond with the goal of bridging the gap between healthcare services and those who need it most. We have so far conducted 41 medical camps and 7 surgical camps in 17 counties across Kenya.

The Hawi Foundation is a medical humanitarian organization based in Kenya, dedicated to offering universal healthcare to vulnerable populations. Through free medical and surgical camps, the foundation addresses the healthcare needs of underserved communities. Additionally, they extend their impact by providing education to those in need, contributing to the overall well-being of vulnerable individuals in Kenya.

Hawi Foundation works alongside local healthcare providers and NGO’s to develop and sustain projects that meet the medical and nutritional needs of the communities it serves. Its universal healthcare programs are focused on curative healthcare, health promotion and disease prevention. This includes hospital visits, mobile Clinic healthcare services and access to important medications, medical specialists and Medical supplies.

Medical Missions

Through our free medical and surgical camps, we provide essential healthcare services to individuals who may not have access otherwise. Our dedicated team of medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and support staff, work tirelessly to ensure that every patient receives the care they deserve.

During our medical missions, we offer a range of services, including general check-ups, consultations, vaccinations, screenings, minor surgeries, and more. We prioritize preventive care and health education, empowering individuals and families to take control of their well-being. ...Hawi Foundation has proudly conducted medical missions in 19 counties across Kenya, including Kajiado, Kisumu, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Nandi, Siaya, Homabay, Marsabit, Nairobi, Kiambu, Garissa, Bungoma, Mombasa, Lamu, Uasin Gishu, Machakos, and Meru.

In addition to our on-the-ground efforts, we have also evacuated a number of patients for further advanced care to hospitals in Kenya and India, ensuring they receive the specialized treatment they need for their recovery.

Emergency Medical and Disaster Response

Our trained medical personnel and support staff are equipped to handle a wide range of emergency situations, including natural disasters, disease outbreaks, accidents, and more. We work closely with local authorities, NGOs, and other partners to coordinate our response efforts and ensure efficient and effective assistance.

Hawi Foundation has a proven track record in disaster response, including coordinating missions in Nairobi during significant events such as the collapse of flats in Huruma and Kwa Ndege. Additionally, we provided medical examinations and produced medico-legal reports for 305 victims of the Sinai Fire Tragedy, providing crucial evidence for their cases in court.

We are committed to strengthening this department by deploying more ambulances and staff, ensuring that we can respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies across Kenya.
